Greetings

After graduating from Oita medical university, I gained clinical experience as an internist and built a foundation in basic research during my graduate studies. Following this, I conducted research at various domestic and international institutions before returning to my alma mater, the Faculty of Medicine at Oita University.

Currently, our research focuses on two main themes:
1.   Investigating Novel Physiological Roles of Neuropeptides
2.  Elucidating the Pathophysiological Roles of DAMPs in Energy Metabolism and Stress-Related Diseases

Amid the rapid advancements in physiological research, our laboratory employs cutting-edge genetic modification technologies alongside diverse methodologies, including peptide science, molecular biology, behavioral physiology, morphology, neuroscience, electrophysiology, and bioinformatics, to delve into the complexity of physiological functions.

We also actively engage in collaborative research within and outside the university, aiming to contribute new insights to the field.

It is an honor to return back to Oita University’s Faculty of Medicine, an institution surrounded by rich natural beauty with fresh crystal air, and immense potential across the fields of research, education, and medicine. Through the research of physiology, I look forward to advancing alongside the next generation, highly motivated young researchers from over the world, and working tirelessly to disseminate valuable research outcomes from our laboratory to the world.
